Our Future
Greenville Energy have ambitions to produce BioLNG for use as road vehicle fuel so that we can fuel the future from the waste we process.
What
Is BioLNG?
Greenville Energy were the first facility in the UK to produce Renewable Liquefied Natural Gas (BioLNG) at farm scale. We currently use the technology to upgrade raw biogas for efficient transport to their customers sites where the LNG is used to produce electricity and heat.
Our Ambition
Greenville Energy have ambitions to produce BioLNG for use as road vehicle fuel so that we can fuel our fleet of waste vehicles from the waste we process. BioLNG is a sustainable version of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and by moving to BioLNG, the CO2 savings of up to 20% created by LNG can be boosted to as much as 95%. And, as with LNG, it’s cheaper than diesel.
We aim to form alliances with customers so that we can process their organic waste and provide them with vehicle fuel for their fleet to reduce their costs and dependency on fossil fuels. Volvo trucks already have a LNG powered truck available on the market so this is an alternative fuel for heavy goods transport that is viable for adoption straight away.
